Got to get back to work but this New York Times headline about U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor struck me, so to speak, and is rattling around. No time to fully explicate, but no real need to, either.

One of the things that has stymied me as a writer of spanking fiction is total and complete, utter and shameful ignorance of women's clothing. It is why my favorite girl's outfit is a sweater or tee-shirt and jeans, shorts or pajama bottoms. So it is probably no big deal to middlebrow fashionistas to have come across a product that floored me when I opened my AOL billboard today.

I did learn in the past year or so that the short pants worn beneath pleated short cheerleader skirts are called "spanky pants" or "spankies," but there is a whole line for adults?
